E-Prescribing Bonus Money is on the Table

Back in 2008 Congress authorized a separate incentive program for eligible professionals (EPs) who are successful electronic prescribers. This is good news for several reasons.
- The bonus is 2% of your Medicare allowed charges for the year.
- It's easy to report electronic prescription—one extra line on the claim form.
- You only have to report 25 electronic prescriptions during the year 2010 to qualify.
- And, there will be another 1% in 2011 and 2012, and 0.5% in 2013.
