Installing VersaForm on a 64-Bit Computer

VersaForm runs on 64-bit computers and installing a VersaForm Client requires nothing special.

To install a VersaForm Server on a 64-bit computer,  you must first install a 64-bit version of SQL Server 2005. (If you are installing on a single computer, you are installing both a Client and a Server.)

The 64-bit computer that will be the SQL server must have either:

  • SQL Server 2005 64-Bit (runs on a Windows Server 2003 or better)
  • OR

  • SQL Server 2005 Express 64-Bit (runs on Vista 64-Bit or XP SP3 64-Bit)

It must be installed before VersaForm can be installed. Write down the password that you assign to the System Administrator (sa) account as you will be asked for the password during the VersaForm install.

If you are not comfortable with installing a SQL Server, you should seek qualified technical help.

To buy the full SQL 2005 64-Bit, contact your Windows product vendor.
