Other
- Fixed problem in printing letters and labels that allowed user to exit before the printing was completed, causing VersaForm to terminate.

- Added the ability to mark a lab as reviewed by checking a checkbox on the Labs Tab.
- Authorization field added to the Referral form; the form has been redesigned to present the patient instructions more prominently.
- In the printout of a note, the author and signing information has been moved to the footer so it will appear on every page.
- If a patient has current alerts, the Alerts tab on the patient chart now shows red text (instead of a red background) as some systems were not displaying the red background.
Changes in Version 3.202
Statements can be batch-printed to a single file; you don't have to keep entering the file names.
Hotkeys for buttons in the Notes Editing window now work.
An error in the login for multi-doc systems has been fixed.
The patient picture now displays properly.
Changes in Version 3.201
Notes
Notes have been revised to utilize “Rich Text”. Among the results are:
- Text Fonts and styles (such as titles, bolding, and italics) are now supported.
- Images can be pasted into notes. If the images are JPGs, you can draw on them with the mouse (Windows 7 and tablets only). You can paste images from files on the PC or from images in the patient’s chart.
- You can add a link to a note to view one of that patient’s images, without pasting the image into the note.
- Letterheads and other formats can be defined.
- You can now view a patient’s previous notes while editing a note. This enables copying material from earlier notes.
- You can add a heading to a note with a single click.
- You can create templates with headings and with text fonts and styles.
Cell phone and work phone have been added to Database Values.
The edit window location is remembered.
Ledger, Claims
Resubmitted claims are now treated as pending.
In the deposit slip, we exclude reversed credits although the amount of the reversing adjustment isn't the full amount of the credit.
On the ledger, column sorting is now “sticky”. You can choose to always view the ledger by service date rather than date entered.
When entering a new charge on the ledger, we pre-fill the service date with the last used date of the current session. The field is selected, so you can key into it immediately. The quote mark (ditto) is honored.
On the ledger, we refuse to reverse an adjustment only if it's code is "reversal".
On the ledger, we now allow a cancel option from "Remove the PAID status?” question.
5010 claims and electronic EOBs are supported.
In Payments:
- We do not permit changing insurance plan if this is an existing payment
- Corrected the allowed amount and OTAF amount in the payment line
- We allow credit descriptions of up to 80 characters
On a 5010 secondary claim, adjustments with different group codes go in different segments.
The list of electronic claim processors now shows the format (4010 or 5010)
Drop-off time and location have been added to ambulance billing information.
Charges on a claim are ordered by service date, expecting that EOBs will be in that order.
Reports
A Basic Health Management Report has been added. It shows just demographics and vitals for each selected patient, and can be modified by the practice. You can use it with a protocol to report all the patients that satisfy that protocol, for instance, a protocol for all diabetic patients, or one that selects all patients who have not had a flu shot this year.
A Health Management Patient List report has been added. This report simply lists the patients who are selected by a particular protocol, such as diabetic patients.
In Health Management reports, we ensure that there is a report even if no data categories are selected.
Health Management reports can now include the patient’s problem list.
Lab reports now show the “abnormal” flag for each result.
The Activity Reports have less white space between detail lines, reducing the length of the reports.
Several new 277 reports have been added to assist in identifying errors reported in submitted claims.
Dashboard
There are now Sign All, Mark All and Review All buttons.
Images listed on the dashboard can now be viewed.
Double clicking on lab, image, or encounter goes directly to the object clicked instead of merely to the chart tab.
Lab Panels with abnormals are shown in red
Allergies
Adding symptoms to patient allergies has been simplified by allowing you to navigate the symptom list by typing the first letters of the desired symptom.
Meaningful Use
A new report, called the CMS Report has been added that closely follows the format and content of the CMS Web screens used for reporting your numbers to make it easier for you to correctly report your results.
All of the objectives have been numbered using the CMS numbering scheme.
Scanning
Devices with TWAIN drivers can now be used for scanning several multiple-page documents at once into the database as PDFs. Use blank pieces of paper to separate documents.
Multiple documents can be scanned all at once and then each individual document can be given a description and assigned to a patient. Individual pages can be removed or re-scanned by right-clicking on them.
If you are currently scanning using WIA, check your scanner manufacturer’s website for TWAIN drivers for your device.
