EMR for Billing Service Customers
Billing Services using VersaForm can easily offer EMR systems to their customers.
How does it work?
Each billing service customer will already have their own database, from which their billing is done. Since VersaForm is an integrated system, these databases already have everything necessary to support Electronic Medical Records. The databases are all installed on your SQL Server, but they are completely separate. There is no intermingling of data, and each customer has access only to their own data.
Where does the VersaForm program run?
Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (formerly Terminal Services), a feature of Windows Server, enables users to connect to your server and run the VersaForm program, which provides the EMR functions and connects to the database. Each user has their own instance of the VersaForm program, which runs independently of all the others.
How do the users connect?
The customers access their respective systems over the Internet, using the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC). Versions of RDC exist for many systems, including Windows Mobile and Apple's MAC OS X.
