How Templates Are Used
To begin using a template, the doctor moves it to the note window, a simple "mouse drag" operation. In this illustration, the "menopause+" template was chosen. The diagram below shows on the left a window with the list of templates presented in the "tree-view" style, with the active template highlighted. The right window contains the note with the "menopause+" template. The next step will be to activate the template, which will complete the note.
Variables are represented by text appearing in chevrons « ». When activated, these variables call for data entry via pop-up windows.
