Change a HFCA print format from dot matrix to laser Problem: Customer does not have laser print formats for a specific HCFA print format and is using a laser printer. Cause: Change of printer at customer site. Solution: Purchase the laser HCFA print formats on disk (contact sales) or follow these steps. Keystrokes: From the MD VersaForm Main Menu: Select item #4 "Installing MD VersaForm" and press <Enter> Choose item #11 "Customize Print Formats", press <Enter> Choose item #2 "Insurance Claims and Superbills" and press <Enter> At the "?" press the <Enter> key. A list of claim forms and Superbill formats will be presented. Select the HCFA form you want to change by highlighting it or entering the number to the left of the form name. Press <Enter> Select item #2 "Enter or Change the Print Format". On this form make the following changes: Length of Form should be 60 Top Margin should be -3 Details start at 43 In the "Line" field the entry that says "2" should be changed to "5, "3' to "6" and "4" to "7". Press <F1> after each change. Press <F2> to save the record. If asked about overlaps press "Y" and <Enter> each time. Notes: We have found that ink jets and laser jets are not consistent in how they pick up the sheet from the sheet holder. You may find that the printing is not consistent. We recommend a dot matrix printer for print pre-printed forms such as the HCFA. References: Related Topics:
