Copy a procedure

Follow these keystrokes to copy a procedure from one file to another file - start at the MD VersaForm Main Menu:

Select #6 VersaForm XL Main Menu and press <Enter>

Highlight #5 "Copy or Print Forms" and press <Enter>

Select #3 "Copy control reports, formats, procedures, etc" and press <Enter>

Highlight #5 "Procedures--Source and Object" then press <Enter>

Select #2 Manual Selection - press <Enter>

In response to the "To copy FROM - " path request accept the default or enter the path to the file that contains the procedure of interest. Press <Enter>

At the request for the file name insert the name of the file (for example "ledger.vfm") and press <Enter>

The next question is about printing the log of the copy. Generally accept the "N" and press <Enter>

Now indicate the path of the file you are copying TO and press <Enter>

Supply the name of the file you are copying TO and press <Enter>

If the files/forms do not match you will be asked if you want to continue. Type "Y" and then press <Enter>

You will be presented with a list of procedures from the first file. Locate the procedure you want to copy and highlight it. Then press <Enter>.

The procedure will be copied to the new file/form.

Press <Esc> until you return to the MD VersaForm Main Menu.
