Copying a procedure Problem: A procedure, such as "eachform" needs to be copied form one file to another. Cause: The procedure applies to the second form. Solution: Use the VersaForm XL copy routines. Keystrokes: From the VersaForm XL Main Menu: Select item #5 "Copy or Print Forms" and press <Enter> From this menu slect item #3 "Copy control reports, formats, procedures, etc." and press <Enter>. Now take item #5 "Procedures—Source and object" and press <Enter> Pick #2 "Manual selection", press <Enter> Accept the path or type in the path for the file containing the procedure you want to copy. Press <Enter> Type in the name of the file that has the procedure you want to copy, then press <Enter> Accept the "N" for a printed report by pressing <Enter> Type the name of the file you want the procedure to be copied to and press <Enter> If warned that the two forms do not match, answer "Y" to the question of "Continue anyhow?" Press enter and you will be presented with list of procedures found in the first file. Locate the procedure you want to copy and enter the number of the procedure or highlight its name and then press <Enter>. Your procedure will be copied and you will see the list of procedures again. When done press <Esc>. At the information window telling you that the copying has been completed press <Enter> and then <Esc> to return to the VersaForm XL Main Menu.
