Error Code 33 Problem: In a network environment the user is getting a lock error followed by "error code 33". Cause: Generally this problem is associated with "Share.exe" and the number of locks set-up when it is loaded. Another issue is several users logging onto VersaForm with the same name. Solution: First assure that the "server" (the computer where VersaForm is located) is the fastest machine on the system. Next be sure share is loaded with enough lock handles. We suggest the following line in your "autoexec.bat" file: "c:\dos\share /l:500 /f:4096" Solution: Set up individual users with separate log in names and passwords. Be sure each user is set up to "S"hare files. From the MD VersaForm Main Menu follow these steps: Select item #4 - Installation Menu press <Enter> Select item #8 "Users and Authorizations", press <Enter> Fill in a record for each person who will be using VersaForm. The completed record should look like this (with your name and password):
Press <F2> to save. When completed press <Alt+X> to return to the Installation Menu Select item #9 – "User Setup", press <enter>. Each user should have a record here. Of the options on the form the "Share" option is critical. The others are up to each user. The first line of Yyur completed record should look like this:
Press <F2> to save. When completed press <Alt+X> to return to the menu. Notes: The share steps do not apply to Windows NT or Windows 95. These operating systems load a different type of "share" process.
