Extra Records

Problem: Daylogs, deposit slips, or electronic claims logs are printing with more extra records or records from previous days or procedures.

Cause: Old records have been saved in the database and are appearing in the printed reports.

Solution: Open the database and remove the unwanted records.

Keystrokes: From the MD VersaForm Main Menu:

Select item #6 VersaForm XL Main Menu, press <Enter>

From this menu select item #2 "Filing" and press <Enter>


NOTE: from the Patient Ledger press <Alt+F10> to get the File List Menu and select "Open another file" and press <Enter>


If the drive and path is not correct type in the correct path. Press <Enter>.

In the next window type in the name of the file - for example Deposit.vfm, or daylog.vfm, or msglog.vfm.

Use the <F5> and <F6> keys to locate the extra data record(s).

Press <Alt+R> to remove the record.

Press "Y" and then <Enter> to verify that you want to remove the record.

Press <F9> to clear the record and "Y" when asked about saving the record.

Repeat this until all the extra records are removed.

Notes: In the normal course of operation these files are only used on a temporary basis. Data is added to them, they are printed, and the data removed. Several events can cause the data to be saved rather than removed. When this happens the resulting reports will have extra data.
