Fix Date Of Birth Problem: In Version 7.10 the date of birth is not printing correctly – it is entered as an 8 digit date in the prior data. The user should use a 10 digit date. Cause: Prior versions did not require a ten digit date. Solution: Install and run the "fix dob" procedure. If not on the customers system, send the file "fixdob.leg" via disk or modem to the customer site and put it in the "\procs" sub-directory. Keystrokes: From the MD VersaForm Main Menu: Select item #6 VersaForm XL Main Menu From this menu take item #8 – "Enter or Change Procedures" At the next question press <Enter> to accept the default path or enter the drive and path first. When asked for a file name type "LEDGER.VFM" and press <Enter>. At the next screen type the following (exactly as it appears)
When done press <F2> Press <Alt+X> then <9> followed by <1> to return to the Patient Ledger. Now run the Eachform procedure to change all the DOB fields to a 10 digit year. Notes: This procedure changes a year "xx" to "19xx". It will not work for a date before 1900 or after 1999. It is recommended that the DOB be entered in as a ten digit year – "04/02/1942" rather than "4/2/42". In the latest version of 7.10 the system will not allow you to enter a date as "4/2/42".
