Hewlett-Packard Laser 6x Printers

Hewlett-Packard has a new series of Laserjet printers – the 6x series. It does not print DOS programs correctly. They have informed us that a files called "HPPROPTY" must be removed from the HP Folder (directory). After removing the file re-start the computer. The printer will now print DOS applications correctly.

Follow these steps:

Start Windows Explorer

In Explorer click on "Tools", then click on "Find", fill in the dialog box to look like this:

The "Look In" field should show your drive name.

Once the file is found, click on it with the left mouse button

Press the <Del> key to remove the file.

Exit Windows and re-start it.

This program causes a device conflict with the HP Drivers and the DOS drivers.
