Missing Accident Indicator/Date - NDC (ETS)

Problem: An error message - "Missing Accident Indicator/Date" has been received from NDC (ETS) after submitting claims.

Cause: The IAP field of the ledger has not been filled in or the Dt_Onset field is not filled in.

Solution: These fields are on page 3 of the "Patient Ledger" file in the section "Insurance Information".

Keystrokes: From the patient's ledger:

Press Ctrl+PageDown to get to page 3.

Come down 7 lines and three fields to the right. The field is labeled "Ill/Acc/Preg" for "Illness/Accident/Pregnancy"

The Dt_Onset field is on the fourth line of this section, first field on the left.

Notes: These field may have to be changed from time to time as the patient's course of treatment changes.
