Novell Networks

A "temp" directory – VersaForm makes use of a "TEMP" directory to run its reports. You can put this on the "C" drive or under "Windows" of the "C" drive. There should be a statement in the "Autoexec.bat" file that points to the "Temp" directory. For example:

Set Temp = c:\temp

Mapping a drive - the install program will not find a "mapped" drive. It will find a volume drive if it has a letter associated with it (vis "G").

Multi-Doc Installations – The script and .bat files that are used to install a VersaForm module into a Multi-Doc system uses a '\nul' paramater. "Nul" is a reserved word in Novell. You will get a message about not being able to locate a directory. To solve the problem open the 'do upgrade' procedure in the "Script.xxx" file. Locate the line that says "textinput (global1 & '\NUL'); { check for existence of subdir }". Put the "{" in front of the "textinput" or change '\NUL' to '\msglog.vfm'. Recomplie and the install should proceed without hitch. It may be necessary to modify some batch files to also remove any occurance of the word "NUL". These batch files will generally be related to the module you are installing.
