PKUnZip.EXE
VersaForm ships with a utility called "PKUnZip.exe". This program de-compresses or un-shrinks file created by PKZip.EXE. The "zipped" files take from 50% to 70% less space on a disk. The smaller files are likely to fit on a floppy disk easier and are a preferred format when sending files over phone lines.
To locate the utility from VersaForm:
At any screen in VersaForm press <Alt+U> to get the Utility Menu.
Select "Shell to DOS" and press <Enter>
You are now at the DOS prompt. The command to type at this point is:
pkunzip zipfilename pathtoputfiles
Where zipfilename = name of the zipped file
Where pathtoputfiles = the directory where you want the unzipped files placed.
For Example:
Pkunzip ledger.zip c:\vf\ledger\data
Will de-compress the files in "ledger.zip" and place them in the directory "c:\vf\data".
To get help on operating the program type:
Pkunzip /?
