Printing an Electronic Claim to Paper

It is not possible to print an electronic claim to paper from the Insurance Claims File. Follow these steps from the Patient Ledger:

Press <F8> to get the Ledger Print Menu

Select item #4 "Print an Insurance Claim" (type "4" and the cursor will move to that item). Press <Enter>

The most recent claim will be displayed. Use the <F5> and <F6> to locate the claim you want if this is not the correct one.

When you have the claim you want to print press <P>

If the "Print_Format" field is not filled in the system will present a list of print formats to choose from:

Use the PageUp and PageDown and the Up/Down arrow keys to locate the print format you want to use.

Press <Enter> and the claim will be printed to paper using the print format selected.


NOTE: Claims created electronically may have different information then claims created for paper. One known item is the provider id – what would print in box 24K of a Medicare HCFA form. Be sure to check your paper claim to see that all the information is correct before mailing.
