Sending Claims with PCAnywhere

Once a BBS has been set up claims can be sent to the BBS using PCAnywhere. After starting PCAnywhere for Windows follow these steps:

Click on the button "Call Online Service".

Double click on the icon for the appropiate BBS.

You will see a dialog box indicating that the system is connecting to the BBS.  Your modem may make some dialing tones and then emit a bit of static noise.

Once the connection is established you will see the BBS's log in screen. Follow the various prompts until you are logged in and ready to send claims. [See the directions that came with your electronic claims package].

Once you are ready to send the file press <Alt+T> or click on "Transfer" on the horziontal menu. Select "Send" from the resulting drop down menu.

You will now see the "Select Files to Send Using...." dialog box. Type the drive, path, and file name of the file you are going to send. For example if VersaForm is on Drive C in the VF711 directory and the file you are going to send is called mcaltele you would type "C:\vf711\mcaltele".

As the file is sent you will see a dialog box that shows you the percent of the total bytes to be sent.

Once the file has been sent you will be returned to the BBS system. Follow the directions to download files or look at news bulletins or send e-mail or disconnect.
