Transfer Utility

MD VersaForm ships with a utility that will copy data from one file to another file. To use this utility follow these steps:

From the MD VersaForm Main Menu select item #6 "VersaForm XL Menu"

From the VersaForm XL Main Menu select item #2 "Filing"

When asked for the drive and path press <Enter> (change the drive and path first if needed).

When asked for a file name type in "transfer" and press <Enter>.

Fill in the transfer utility

Fill in the "Copy by Name" field with a "Y"

The "Copy_From" field takes the drive, path and name of the file that has your data. For example: "C:\vfold\ledger.vfm".

The "Copy_To" field takes the dri, path and name of the file where you want to put the data. For example "C:\vf\ledger.vfm".

Press <F1> to validate your work.

Press <Alt+F1> and take the first choice "Copy Forms".

Your files will be copied. You will see an ongoing count in the lower left cornor.
