Unknown Password Problem: The passwords for entering VersaForm have been changed and no one knows what they are. Cause: This can happen if an employee leaves without telling someone what the passwords are, or there is a simple lapse of memory. Solution: Rename "Users.vfs" to "Users.old" and "Users.vfx" to "Users.vfs". Keystrokes: From anywhere in VersaForm: Press <Alt+U> Select "Shell to DOS": and press <Enter> If you are not at the directory where VersaForm files are located (generally "c:\vf"), change to that directory. Type "ren users.vfs users.old" and press the <Enter key> Type "ren users.vfx users.vfs" and press <Enter> Type "Exit" and press <Enter> to return to VersaForm From the MD VersaForm Main Menu select "Setting-up VersaForm" From the Installation Menu select #8 "Users and Authorizations" Make changes as needed. Notes: If you do not have "users.vfx" on your system call Tech Support to have a copy sent to you. References: Related Topics:
