Using Appmenu.vfs

Problem: Customer wants to add an item to a menu. When selecting a menu item that should go to another menu nothing happens or the wrong menu is displayed.

Cause: The code in the Appmenu.vfs file is not correct or needs to be changed.

Solution: Open Appmenu.vfs from the VF Main Menu Filing option. Make additions, corrections, as needed.

Keystrokes:

From the main menu select #6 VersaForm XL Main Menu, press <Enter>

Select item #2 "Filing", press <Enter>

The next screen is for the drive\directory where the file lives. Generally "C:\VF". Enter the drive and directory that is appropriate if needed. Press <Enter>.

Type "appmenu.vfs" and press <Enter>.

Locate the menu where the problem exists or the one you want to change.

Make changes to the fields as needed. Note there is a second page <Ctrl+RightArrow>.

As corrections are made to one line press <F1> to validate.

When completed press <F2> to save your work.

Go to the appropriate menu and check your work.

Notes: This file controls all the menus in the system.
